How Can AccessWork Help Us?
At CanAssist we realize that increasing diversity at your organization is not always easy. Where do you start?, What can you do?, and how can we make our processes better aligned with our employees' needs? aren't easy questions to answer and the process can be daunting at times. AccessWork provides job coaches that are well versed in supporting persons that identify as having a disability to advocate for their needs and can mediate between all parties to ensure everyone is set up for success.

How Does That Work?
We can meet you where you are at. The process could start as soon as you onboard one of our AccessWork participants. We will contact you and will set up an initial meeting to develop an accommodation plan that works for everyone involved. Did you know that the majority of people who identify as having a disability or mental health challenges do not require accommodations but benefit from a supportive environment?
We can also support employers in a more exploratory capacity and are happy to consult with employers who are interested in hiring staff with diverse needs but are not sure where to start. We can provide strategies for putting in place policies and processes which ensure more inclusive environments for when you are ready to hire.
