What is AccessWork

AccessWork is a work experience program hosted by CanAssist at the University of Victoria that connects job seekers with disabilities and mental health challenges to paid work experience.


Participants attend blended online/in-person training workshops to develop practical skills in: 

Building a resume and cover letter


Customized Learning

Receive ongoing support and mentorship from Job Coaches to help you find jobs, achieve independence, and thrive in the workplace.

Individualized Support

Gain Access to Accomodations

Attend free training workshops and gain certifications through one-on-one and group-based learning.

Learn your rights as an employee, craft a winning resume and cover letter, ace your job interview, and become a powerful self-advocate.
